Cookie Chronicles

Cookie, Snack, Biscuit...call it whatever your like, all your dog knows is that it is GOOD!  Packaged cookies are good, but homemade cookies are even better. Now the plan: To develop and bake the most delicious, nutrition filled, easy-to-make treat that dogs will love.

Step 1:  Research.  What exactly is in a dog snack? Every ingredient chosen needed to be natural, nutritious and purposeful.  After careful consideration I decided to include pumpkin, oats, peanut butter, apples and egg.

Pumpkin - Adds fiber & beta carotene (and is good for digestion)
Oats - Soluble fiber
Peanut Butter - Protein
Apples - Vitamins A & C
Egg - Protein

Step 2: Create. With an audience of one at my feet, eagerly awaiting the finished product, I began to measure, mix and create. When the dough was ready I rolled it out and carefully cut bone shaped cookies.

Step 3: Bake.  In the oven they went and 20 minutes later...Canine Cookies!

Step 4: Taste Test:
Success!
